Smart Living Forum 2019

Thematic Areas

THEME 1: Improvement of healthcare services

The healthcare sector is facing challenges characterized by a shortage of medical and nursing professionals, reduced public budgets, and a concurrent rising demand for health services, partly due to the demographic change of the society. Moreover, it is becoming increasingly difficult to ensure the quality of care in rural and peripheral areas. These circumstances require an increased use of technology, with particular focus on digitization and the cooperative use of European knowledge excellence. Submission should be assigned under one or more of the following categories:

  • telehealth
  • support of healthy lifestyle
  • (risk) prevention
  • management of (chronic) diseases
  • therapy applications
  • rehabilitation

THEME 2: Aiming for Market Success

Focus on a successful and sustainable economic strategy in the earliest stages of development and even before is the essential prerequisite for the subsequent market launch of final products and services. Shared values and benefits can be created by including the views of all dimensions of the quadruple helix (government, industry, academia and civil participants) – from the scratch up to a marketable product. Submission should be assigned under one or more of the following categories:

  • technology driven innovation
  • new business models
  • commercialization of innovative technologies
  • disruptive technologies

THEME 3: Open category from Smart Living to Smart Industry

This is your chance to be creative.
