From the 15th to 17th May 2019 members and interested parties met in Tutzing, Germany, to celebrate the 40th anniversary of EMISA<\/a> (GI Special Interest Group on Design Methods for Information System GI-SIG-EMISA).<\/p>

“For 40 years, the GI Special Interest Group on Design Methods for Information System (GI-SIG-EMISA) is a platform for experts from industry and academia to exchange and discuss the methodical aspects of planning, modeling, developing and running digital ecosystems. While terminology and buzzwords change, many of the questions raised when EMISA was founded still remain challenging, and many new questions came along over the years.” [1]<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>

Under the slogan “Digital Ecosystems of the Future: Methods, Techniques and Applications” more than 25 talks were held at the “Evangelische Akademie” in Tutzing (near Munich). The topics addressed ranged from model-based development to Petri nets and University 4.0. Furthermore, innovative ideas on how to introduce young people to the topic of computer science were discussed.<\/p>

Beside the interesting talks and presentations, various research groups from the German-speaking area were invited to present themselves at poster booths, all of which dealt with application-oriented software development. The atmosphere build the perfect basis for discussion rounds dealing with the pros and cons of agile software development methods and the fusion of user-centered and model-based development.<\/p>

In addition to scientists and professors from the field of Business Process Modelling (BPM), there were also two other research groups – beside us from the Research Unit AAL – who are working on assistance systems for (elderly) people in the home environment.<\/p>

The research group AAL was represented by Daniela Elisabeth Str\u00f6ckl, who held a madness presentation<\/a> and was also available for further questions at the poster booths.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t
