Das AAL Team (Daniela Krainer, Daniela Str\u00f6ckl und Johannes Oberzaucher) der FH K\u00e4rnten besuchte am 11.02.2016 den Open House Day des Forschungszentrums f\u00fcr Informatik (FZI) in Karlsruhe \/ Deutschland. Neben Vortr\u00e4gen zu verschiedensten Themen wie Industrie 4.0 konnte man das House of Living Labs besichtigen. Unter dem Namen House of Living Labs verbirgt sich ein Verbund mehrerer Living Labs die jeweils auf den Gebieten: smartAutomation, smartHome\/AAL, smartEnergy, mobileIT\/mobileBusiness, smartMobility, Service Robotics, Automotive und smartSecurity spezialisiert sind. Thematisch waren vor allem die Bereiche smartHome \/ AAL und Service Robotics interessant, weshalb der Focus darauf gelegt wurde.<\/p>\n

Zun\u00e4chst wurde die mobile Musterwohnung besichtigt. Dort werden Produkte verschiedenster Hersteller ausgestellt, die den Alltag von \u00e4lteren Menschen zuhause erleichtern k\u00f6nnen. Dabei werden die vielf\u00e4ltigen Produkte nur pr\u00e4sentiert aber nicht verkauft. Unter anderem waren Seniorentelefone, eine automatische Herdabschalte oder Aufs\u00e4tze f\u00fcr eine Sitzerh\u00f6hung zu sehen.<\/p>\n

Danach wurde die Musterwohnung im House of Living Labs sowie die weiteren R\u00e4ume f\u00fcr die technische Umsetzung neuer Ideen besichtigt.<\/p>\n

Die Musterwohnung ist eine vollst\u00e4ndig ausgestattete und eingerichtete 2 Zimmer Wohnung mit einem Vorraum, Schlafzimmer, Wohn- Essk\u00fcche und einem Badezimmer. Verbaut ist auch hier assistive Technik wie z.B. eine Matte vor dem Bett, die Bewegungen registrieren und einem Pflegepersonal anzeigen kann, um bei sturzgef\u00e4hrdeten Personen Unterst\u00fctzung leisten zu k\u00f6nnen. Des Weiteren sind Trackingsysteme aber auch nicht technische Hilfsmittel wie speziell designtes Geschirr ausgestellt. Neben Produkten von Drittfirmen, stellt das FZI auch selbst Technologien und Behelfsgegenst\u00e4nde her. Beispiel daf\u00fcr ist der Becher f\u00fcr eine Trinkmengenmessung.<\/p>\n

Abschlie\u00dfend wurde das Living Lab zum Thema Service Robotics besucht. Dort ausgestellt wurden Roboter, die im Weltraum eingesetzt werden und Roboter, die bei Naturkatastrophen Unterst\u00fctzung leisten, um beispielsweise versch\u00fcttete Menschen aufzusp\u00fcren. <\/p>\n

The team of the AAL department (Daniela Krainer, Daniela Str\u00f6ckl, and Johannes Oberzaucher) of the Carinthia University of Applied Sciences visited on the 11th<\/sup> Feb. 2016 the Open House Day of the Forschungszentrum Informatik (FZI) in Karlsruhe \/ Germany. Beside different tasks about topics like industry 4.0 it was possible to visit the House of Living Labs. Under the name of \u201cHouse of Living Labs\u201d a network of different Living Labs is meant with specializations in the following topics: smartAutomation, smartHome\/AAL, smartEnergy, mobileIT\/mobileBusiness, smartMobility, Service Robotics, Automotive and smartSecurity. From further interest were the fields of smartHome \/ AAL and Service Robotics; that\u2019s why the focused were on these two.<\/p>\n

At first the mobile show flat was inspected. At this different kinds of produces from different manufacturers were shown, that could help elderly people at their daily living at home. The products are just presented at the show flat; they do not sell anything there. Among other things they presented a mobile phone for seniors, an automatic stove cutoff or strap-ons for chairs to sit higher.<\/p>\n

Afterwards the show flat in the House of Living Labs with further rooms, for the technical implementation of new ideas, was visited.<\/p>\n

The show flat is a fully equipped and furnished 2-room flat with a lobby, bedroom, living \u2013 and eating room combination and a bathroom. Implemented in the room is also assistive technology as for example a pad in front of the bed that could register movements and show them to the caregivers to support people with a higher fall risk. Furthermore, tracking systems and other non- technical support devices like special designed dishes are shown. Beside products from different firms the FZI also shows technologies and auxiliary products made by their own. An example for that is the cup for the measure of the drinking amount.<\/p>\n

Final the Living Lab for Service Robotics was visited. There different kinds of robots that can be used in space and robots that can help rescue teams after natural disasters; they could for example help people which are buried by house walls.<\/p>\n
