In WP2 three solutions will be developed:
- the integration of SAW sensors in stiff polymer material using Fused Filament Fabrication (FFF)
- conductive fillers in soft polymer material via Material Extrusion (MEX)
- embedding Flexiforce® sensors in soft polymer material with Fused Granulate Fabrication (FGF).
Two points are crucial here: the mechanical reliability of the structure after integration of the sensor or filler, and efficient force transmission within the sensor-material compound.
