The primary objective of WP5 is to engage the target group in the project based on a participative and user centred design (UCD) research approach, which are vulnerable technology users, women, industry, youth and the scientific community. In order to reach the target groups, appropriate problems that can be solved with ESMA and related use cases have been identified. The target groups will be specifically engaged based on a defined UCD based process. For vulnerable groups and women, the ESMA research team will implement a multi-stage participatory research design (including workshops, focus groups and UX/acceptance discussions) focusing on need understanding and technology concept transfer. The involvement of industry will take several measures like conducting workshops with stakeholders and developing and implementing tailored training programs for designers.
