Since its inception in 2024, the ICEB team has grownrapidly.
Altogether, 53 people worked on ICEB projects in 2025 up to the publication of this report. Many colleagues contributed part-time or for limited periods.This total includes 11 student assistants, interns, and volunteers .Our team brings together researchers at multiple careerstages.

Notably, we have 13 Senior Researchers, providing a strong foundation of project experience and scientific expertise to meet diverse needs. In addition, six Key Researchers (professors) are active within ICEB. By discipline, roughly a third of the team (34%) has abackground in the natural sciences, and another third (28%) in (civil-)engineering and IT. We also benefit from expertise in the social sciences, economics, administration, and other complementary fields.

This provides ICEB with remarkable research capacity. While a significant share of our colleagues come from Austria \u2013 often with substantial international experience \u2013 the team is internationally diverse. In addition to colleagues from the neighboring countries of Slovenia, Italy, and Germany, the team comprises colleagues from Argentina, Canada, Jordan, France, the Netherlands, Croatia, Romania, Ukraine, and the United States. In terms of genderbalance, ICEB is predominantly female (62%), which is notable in the natural science and technology domain.<\/p>\n\t\t\n<\/div>\n\n<\/div>\n
