We implemented the Drone Risk web application prototype in 2020 as a proof of concept, showcasing how automatic risk assessment for drone operations might work in the future when comprehensive and dynamic geodata becomes available. Five years later, challenges with geodata availability remain, and legal changes have rendered old risk assessment approaches obsolete. Additionally, web technology has evolved significantly. Therefore, we have decided to rewrite the Drone Risk application and add some new features. The beta version is planned to be publicly available at the beginning of August 2025.
