On April 10, 2025<\/strong>, the Women in Data Science (WiDS) Conference<\/strong> will take place in Villach<\/strong>, bringing together women in data science from academia and industry to showcase cutting-edge research and innovative applications. Talk: Generation of Supplemental Spatial Information to Automate Strategic Risk Assessment for Urban Air Mobility Applications<\/strong><\/span><\/h4>\n

Ensuring the safe operation of Urban Air Mobility (UAM)<\/strong> and unmanned aerial systems (UAS<\/strong>) requires precise and reliable risk assessments. However, no standardized methods<\/strong> currently exist for systematically deriving the necessary supplemental spatial information for these assessments. In her talk, Dariia Strelnikova <\/strong>will explore which geospatial data can be leveraged on a national scale<\/strong> to improve risk assessments and discuss the challenges<\/strong> that need to be addressed to automate this process.<\/span><\/p>\n
