The Summer School will take place from <strong>July 8-10, 2026 at the Carinthia University of Applied Sciences (CUAS), Villach Campus<\/strong>.   <\/p><h6><strong>A practice-oriented, research-based educational format<\/strong><\/h6><p>The Summer School combines <strong>specialist lectures, practical laboratory exercises and real-life case studies<\/strong> from leading companies and institutions across the Alpine region. Participants will explore a range of topical issues, including <\/p><ul><li>Low-carbon cement alternatives<\/li><li>Ultra-high-strength and ultra-high-performance concrete<\/li><li>Sustainable structural design<\/li><li>Advanced materials for repairs and retrofits<\/li><\/ul><p>These topics are directly related to the SITAR project&#8217;s mission to accelerate the transition to environmentally sustainable building solutions in the Italy-Austria cooperation regions.  <\/p><h6><strong>Target groups and participation<\/strong><\/h6><p>The Summer School is aimed at:<\/p><ul><li>3rd year students in the Department of Civil Engineering<\/li><li>Master&#8217;s and doctoral students<\/li><li>Postdocs<\/li><li>Experts from the industry<\/li><\/ul><p>Classes will be held entirely in <strong>English<\/strong> to allow access to an international audience. Participation is possible <strong>in person<\/strong>, the registration fee is <strong>\u20ac95<\/strong> and registrations are open <strong>until June 19, 2026<\/strong>. Students can register free of charge.    <\/p><p>The event is organized in cooperation with SITAR project partners from science and industry, which underlines the application-oriented and interdisciplinary character of the programme.<\/p><h6><strong>Overview of location and schedule<\/strong><\/h6><p>All activities will take place on the <strong>CUAS Villach campus<\/strong>, including lab sessions showcasing the university&#8217;s advanced experimental infrastructure. The program runs all day on the following days: <\/p><ul><li><strong>July 8, 2026<\/strong> (08:45-18:00)<\/li><li><strong>July 9, 2026<\/strong> (09:00-18:00)<\/li><li><strong>July 10, 2026<\/strong> (09:00-18:00)  <\/li><\/ul><p>Participants benefit from insights into the latest research, regional best practice examples and joint workshops.<\/p><h6><strong>Contribution to the vision of the SITAR project<\/strong><\/h6><p>The Summer School plays a strategic role in the wider <strong>SITAR Interreg Italia-Austria<\/strong> initiative, which supports the Alpine construction industry&#8217;s transition to sustainable, low-emission practices.
