The event provided an excellent platform for discussing the latest achievements and ongoing activities of the Interreg VI-A project \u201cSITAR\u201d (Supporting the Construction Industry\u2019s Transition to Climate-Friendly Practices in the Alpine Region) between Italy and Austria. <\/p><p>Partners from the Carinthia University of Applied Sciences (CUAS) and the University of Udine (UNIUD) attended the conference, presented the progress made as part of the project, and exchanged knowledge with experts from across Europe and beyond. Throughout the event, the SITAR team presented its work on innovative approaches, advanced materials, and sustainable solutions that support the construction sector\u2019s transition to more climate-friendly practices. <\/p><p>The conference offered not only a valuable opportunity to disseminate project results, but also to exchange ideas with a vibrant international community of researchers and industry professionals. Participants were enthusiastic about being part of such a significant event and highlighted the high quality of the discussions, the diversity of perspectives, and the keen interest in sustainable construction and renovation strategies. Numerous conversations during the conference opened up new avenues for collaboration and sparked insightful discussions about the future of resilient and environmentally sustainable buildings.  <\/p><p>A particular highlight of the conference was the special session titled \u201cGlocal Methods for Sustainable Design and Renovation with Advanced Materials,\u201d organized by Antroula Georgiou and Norbert Randl. The session brought together experts specializing in innovative design methods, building renovation strategies, and advanced building materials, thereby creating a dynamic forum for knowledge exchange and interdisciplinary dialogue. <\/p><p>The event generated great interest among conference participants and sparked lively discussions on how local needs can be addressed through globally oriented, sustainable solutions. The presentations highlighted innovative methods for retrofitting and renovation, the role of advanced materials in improving building efficiency, and strategies for accelerating the transition to a more sustainable built environment. <\/p><p><br>SITAR\u2019s participation in FiB Lisbon 2026 underscores the company\u2019s commitment to promoting international cooperation, cross-border knowledge transfer, and supporting innovation in the construction sector. The conference highlighted the importance of collaborative research in addressing today\u2019s environmental challenges and emphasized the growing relevance of sustainable construction practices throughout Europe. <\/p><p>The SITAR Consortium looks forward to building on the connections made during the conference and continuing its mission to support the construction industry\u2019s
