JR Centre for System-on-Chip Design Automation aims to research fundamentally new methods for the development of &#8222;system-on-chips&#8220; in modern semiconductor technologies and to advance the automation of the development process of integrated circuits.<\/p><p>Until now, chip designers have spent a lot of time for routine tasks like reworking basic circuit blocks with already given functionality in existing technologies to enable cost reduction.<\/p><p>The JR Centre&#8217;s research will help to automate the development of integrated circuits and thus free up the working time of <strong>Carinthia Institute for Microelectronics (CIME)<\/strong> is a competence center for research and development of integrated electronic systems. CIME is strongly associated to the department of Integrated Systems and Circuits Design (ISCD) with a srong network to other department within the faculty of Engineering &amp; IT at Carinthia University of Applied Sciences and is also based on the research of Josef Ressel Center \u201cInteract\u201d which was operated at CUAS until 2019.<\/p><p>CIME is organized in\u00a0<strong>three departments \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/forschung.fh-kaernten.at\/respect\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">RESPECT<\/a>\u201d, \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/research-network.silicon-austria.com\/rffe-lab\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">RFFE-Lab<\/a>\u201d and \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/forschung.fh-kaernten.at\/sims\/?modal=1\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">SIMS<\/a>\u201d\u00a0<\/strong>focusing on different research topics. The \u201cResearch Lab for Radio Frequency Frontends\u201d (RFFE-Lab) is a cooperative research lab, jointly operated with Silicon Austria Labs and co-located at CUAS. In May 2023 the official opening of the\u00a0<strong>\u201eJRZ for System-on-Chip Automation SODA\u201c<\/strong>\u00a0will take
