the project

Enhanced Smart Materials and Applications

In this project we want to establish a platform for advanced sensor-integrated solutions. The used technology can be used in in a variety of contexts – including machines, processes, private households, agriculture, farming and people – to facilitate data collection anytime, anywhere, thereby optimising and expanding actual processes.

OUR USE CASES

In the project we identified three use case categories as key targets for the ESMA technology platform:

  • smart wearables (e.g. smart socks, smart bracelets)
  • smart robotic grippers
  • smart medical devices (prostheses)

WHO WE ARE

Carinthia University of Applied Sciences | Fachhochschule Kärnten

Research and development make an important contribution to transforming broad university knowledge into practical application solutions and to promoting cooperation between companies and universities. The research priorities are bundled in a disciplinary and interdisciplinary manner. In the project 2 research centers and 1 research group are involved
