On May 10, 2025, a partner meeting of the START Living Lab project took place at the Anras Drone Festival. The project partners from mountain rescue, research and industry exchanged information on current progress and future steps.

The focus was on jointly developing and refining the Concepts of Operations (ConOps) and conducting a detailed analysis of the current and future requirements for the use of rescue drones in alpine areas. The exchange on planning the follow-up project was also particularly important: the work packages were structured, their content defined and responsibilities assigned.

The meeting once again underlined the strength of the Living Lab approach: close cooperation, practical development and joint design. After the intensive work session, the participants were able to enjoy the varied festival programme with show flights, innovations such as the Silhouette MX 22 hydrogen-powered drone and demonstrations of emergency services.

The START Living Lab project receives co-financing from the European Union under the Interreg Italy-Austria programme. Interreg is an EU initiative that funds cooperation between regions and countries, enabling them to address shared challenges together. By supporting collaborative projects across borders, Interreg strengthens regional development, environmental protection, and social and economic ties in Europe.
