FEMIB 2019 and ICT4AWE 2019

In May 2019, the project Smart VitAAlity was presented at two conferences in Greece.

The 1st International Conference on Finance, Economics, Management and IT Business was held in Heraklion, Crete from May 3 – 5 2019. In the thematic field of IT Business, new trends and innovations in information systems and IT-services were discussed. In the framework of these topics, the project Smart VitAALity was represented by Johanna Plattner with a presentation of the poster “South Austrian Seniors “vs.” ICT for Healthcare in AAL Pilot Regions”. During the final event of the conference the poster and its presentation was awarded with the “Best Poster Award”. The 5th International Conference on Information and Communication Technologies for Ageing Well and e-Health” was co-located at the Campus of the University of Crete and took place from May 2 – 4 2019. The focus of this conference was set on Ambient Assisted Living, Independent Living, Monitoring, Accessibility and HCI and Telemedicine and –Health. In the thematic area of AAL, Kurt Majcen represented the project Smart VitAALity with a talk about the different implementation concepts of two pilot regions in Austria (Smart VitAALity and RegionAAL). In course of the visit of the two conferences, interesting new projects and impressions from the field of Information and Communication Technologies were discussed. The international audience provided the opportunity to exchange with experts from many different countries from all over the world. Besides the valuable impressions from the conferences, there was also time to visit the city of Heraklion and taste the specialties of the Greek kitchen.
