Review: REHA2030 at PETRA 2021

The PETRA 2021 Conference is in the books and project team members of REHA2030 made an impression in different areas of the conference.

This year PETRA 2021 was conducted virtually using an interactive platform.

The Workshop Robotics and Sensors for Rehabilitation and Assisted Therapy (RoSe) was hosted by Daniela Krainer and Lukas Wohofsky and chaired by Lisa Marie Faller. In a diverse field of presenters the future of rehabilitation and therapy was discussed, sheding a light on topics like 3D-printing of customized rehabilitation devices or using proximity sensors in the therapy sector.

One of the workshop papers – a contribution from REHA2030 members Ana Mandeljc, Aleksander Rajhard and Roman Kamnik – dealing with a robot for hand and finger exercising was voted as best workshop paper by an independent jury.

In the poster session Lukas Wohofsky gave insights into first results of the REHA2030 project showing how rehabilitation can be supported by tailored activity monitoring (presentation of statistics on conducted therapies and trainings) for patient and therapist fostering motivation, individualized therapy and thus therapy success.
